A PRIME LONDON TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION & DECORATION

Amanda worked on the complete refurbishment of this mid-Georgian Mayfair townhouse, previously owned by William IV when he was Regent and interiors were inspired by the work of the great 18th century architect/designer Robert Adam. Artists created an ogee stone effect in the entrance hall and faux statues in niches in the long Gallery to widen those narrow rooms, trompe l’oeil effects in many areas of the house including faux panelling and “windows” to exterior views in the Pompeiian Dining Room, as well as Mediterranean vistas and a Napoleonic Campaign tented room to deal with low barrel vaulted ceilings on the top floor. The work done in this property successfully balances classical grandeur with comfort.

Amanda would be delighted to discuss interior projects in which her knowledge and skills in this specialised area of architectural interior design can be effectively employed.
